R.I.P. Dennis Hopper
The legendary Dennis Hopper passed away on Saturday at the age of 74. Amidst Hopper's many acclaimed acting roles were a few horror projects. Hit the jump for more.
Hopper starred in George Romero's zombie comeback film Land of the Dead as well as The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2. And he contributed memorable portraits of screen villainy in many films, including Speed, Red Rock West, Waterworld, and as the iconic Frank Booth, in Blue Velvet. When one considers that many a screen madman was no doubt inspired by Hopper's craziness in other classic films -- including Apocalypse Now -- Hopper's influence on horror is significant.
