Having lived in Philadelphia for most of my life I can certainly attest to the quality of the super fine flicks Travis Crawford has programmed over the years for Danger After Dark. Formerly part of the Philadelphia Film Festival, Danger After Dark is breaking off into it's own mini-festival this July and after a brief hiatus, Crawford has returned as festival programmer with title like Big Tits Zombie 3D, RoboGeisha, Gone With The Pope, Amer and many more. Hit the jump for more info.
According to the official Danger After Dark web site:
Danger After Dark, the celebrated genre film series component of the Philadelphia Film Festival/CineFest, breaks from the teats of its mother festival to offer its first independent film festival this July 9-19, 2010. From a 3-D Japanese horror/comedy (Big Tits Zombie 3-D); to a violent Danish updating of Straw Dogs (Deliver Us From Evil); to a subversive Serbian potboiler (The Life and Death of a Porno Gang); an over-the-top Japanese action/science fiction/comedy (RoboGeisha) and several more.
All films will be playing at 10:00pm at the Ritz at the Bourse from Friday, July 9th.
Program Guide goes live Friday, June 18th! Printed program guides will be available at Philadelphia-area Ritz cinemas, TLA Video stores, Whole Foods, and many more...
Twitch Film chimes in with even more titles playing:
AMER, BIG TITS ZOMBIE 3D, DELIVER US FROM EVIL, DOGTOOTH, ENTER THE VOID, GONE WITH THE POPE, LIFE AND DEATH OF A PORNO GANG, RED WHITE & BLUE, ROBOGEISHA, THE TEMPTATION OF ST. TONY, VENGEANCE
If you're a genre fan in Philly, this is where you'll want to be.
