'Saw 3D' The Traps Come Alive!
SAW fans went crazy when the SAW VII 3D Comic-Con announcement hit yesterday. But not because of the announcement itself, but because SAW VII was titled SAW 3D The Traps Come Alive. Cool your jets haters, things aren't always what they seem, especially within the SAW universe. Hit the jump for more.
Fans can catch SAW 3D on Fri July 23rd at Comic-Con when 'cast and filmmakers will present exclusive footage from the film and dialogue with fans and press in a Q&A session', details TBD.
As far as the title is concerned, Shock Till you Drop caught up with SAW series producers Mark Burg and Oren Koules to clear things up.
According to Koules, 'The Traps Come Alive' is simply a tagline. Koules tells Shock, "It's a tagline that was added in and misinterpreted. Most of our movies have taglines. One of the things we talked about during the campaign - especially with shooting in the 3D process, the traps really do come alive and we wanted that clear in the campaign. But the title of the film is Saw 3D.'
When asked about the traps in SAW 3D, Shock was told, 'There are, I think, eleven traps in this movie. To have that many traps, it's just a completely different experience for the hardcore fans."
