The Walking Dead are ambling, slowly but surely, towards the small screen. Taking advantage of the captive Comic-Con audience, AMC has announced additional cast members, including a major genre name. Find out who after the jump.
Michael Rooker (Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer) has been named to the role of redneck Merle Dixon. His brother, Daryl, will be played by Norman Reedus (Blade II, Masters of Horror).
A slew of other actors have been named to roles as zombie survivors: Andrew Rothenberg (True Blood) as Jim; Juan Pareja (The Mist) as Morales; Jeryl Prescott Sales (The Skeleton Key, Vacancy 2) as Jacqui; Melissa McBride (The Mist) as Carol; Adam Minarovich (Exhibit A-7) as Ed; and IronE Singleton (The Blind Side) as T-Dog.
The Walking Dead is set to air in October, during AMC's FrightFest. Check out the Comic-Con panel on Friday at 11:30am in room 6BCF.
