Warner Bros. Interactive and Rocksteady have dropped a few more morsels on our plates regarding their upcoming sequel to Batman: Arkham Asylum (pictured above). Titled, Batman: Arkham City, the sequel will be due out in the fall of 2011 with a rather odd twist on the environment. What is it? Find out after the break!
According to the folks at Kotaku, Arkham City refers to a new, walled-in prison in the heart of Gotham that contains its most dangerous criminals…wait, what? OK, maybe I'm not a city planner here, but could someone please explain how it's a better idea to keep the criminally insane in the middle of your city as opposed to a remote island? I mean, I know that the Joker is escaping from there every other day, but is it really a good idea to keep your criminal element locked up in the middle of the city? I know this change was made to allow for new environments, but come on…
However, I can't help but be a little giddy with the news, revealed through the covers of the upcoming issue of Game Informer, that Catwoman will finally be joining the rogues' gallery to face off against the Caped Crusader, and probably also filling in the cheesecake vacuum left in the wake of the defeat of both Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn in the last game.
Batman: Arkham City is due out fall 2011 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3, and Windows PC.
