Cradle of Filth

An epic, far-reaching concept album – something the band has tackled with great success many times in their fifteen-year history – the new record revolves around the story of of Lilith, legendary first wife of Adam, and weaves in mythical and historic elements to create “a darkly erotic nightmare.” Frontman Dani Filth has described Darkly, Darkly as “our most sinister and darkened fairytale,” and “without doubt the fastest and most brutal album we’ve created to date... As an acquaintance of the band so aptly noted, this is like 'Iron Maiden on crack in a graveyard of angels!'”

Darkly, Darkly Venus Aversa is slated for international release on November 1st (just barely missing Halloween... damn!) through Peaceville Records, under the band's own AbraCadaver imprint. Dani says the group is “snarling at the leash” to reveal the new music to their fans... “We can’t wait to play this shit live,” he declared. “Long live the Filth!”

You can hear the first single Lilith Immaculate by visiting this new Cradle Of Filth microsite and joining their mailing list, after which you'll get a link to a free MP3 download. Check it out!
