Sid Haig to be Honored at Sitges Film Fest
Captain Spaulding himself will be honored at this week's Sitges International Film Festival in Spain. Sid Haig, whose genre credits include, most notably, House of 1000 Corpses, The Devil's Rejects, Rob Zombie's Halloween, and Spider Baby, will receive the Maria Honorifica, which honors those with an outstanding career in the "Fantastic" genre. "After receiving the Eyegore Award for Lifetime Achievement I was flattered and amazed," Haig said in a press release. "Now to be further honored by being awarded the Maria Honorifica by The Sitges Film Festival has just got my head reeling. I have to keep reminding myself to keep my feet on the ground!"
