Matt Reeves has been a busy boy. Last week we told you he had signed on to direct aliens-among-us flick 8 O'Clock in the Morning. Today it was announced that the Cloverfield director will also direct The Passage, based on the novel by Justin Cronin. More after the break.
According to Deadline, "a group of terminally ill cancer patients get healthy after being subjected to the bites of bats in South America. Naturally, the government see this as a cure for the disease and starts experimenting. They end up with a legion of nearly indestructible, telepathic vampire masters that begin infecting the populace."
Scripting duties started with John Logan, who is working on the next James Bond film. Reeves will supervise a rewrite by an as-yet-unnamed writer.
