'Scanners' Comes to the Small Screen
Inspired in part by the success of genre shows like The Walking Dead and True Blood, Dimension Films is now developing a Scanners TV series. Based on the 1981 David Cronenberg movie, Scanners is about a select few who have extraordinary psychic powers - and like to use them to blow up people's heads. More after the break.
Originally, Dimension planned on rebooting the franchise with a film written by David Goyer. Goyer will not be involved with the series, but Alexandre Aja will be on board as executive producer, and may potentially direct the pilot.
