KMFDM Launching Major North American Tour
Industrial metal icons KMFDM – long time favorites here at FEARnet – are ready to do major battle in support of their seventeenth studio album WTF?! (which came out in April – be sure to check out our review) by sweeping across North America in their first massive headlining tour of the year. Band founder Sascha "Capt'n K" Konietzko has prepared a set list that spans their entire three-decade career, and the band will be supported by many prominent electro-rock acts. Ultra-cool Italian band Army of the Universe, whose debut CD Mother Ignorance was one of the year's biggest surprises in dark danceable music, will be joining KMFDM on all venues – and as a major bonus, Chris Vrenna (formerly of Nine Inch Nails and Marilyn Manson) will join Army of the Universe for a limited number of shows. Human Factors Lab – whose new EP We All Fall Down makes its debut during the tour – is also supporting, and industrial-strength rockers 16volt will join for some of the West Coast venues.
In addition to the core KMFDM lineup of Sascha, co-vocalist Lucia Cifarelli, guitarists Jules Hodgson & Steve White and drummer Andy Selway, guest artist William Wilson of Legion Within (who contributed vocals to WTF?!) will also be along for the ride.
