Horror RPG 'Corpse Party' Confirmed by XSEED
Just yesterday, I reported that Joystiq had dug up an interesting video that told a tale of cannibalism and hinted at an infamous Japanese RPG called Corpse Party. The theory was that publisher XSEED, whose bread and butter is the localization of obscure titles, had snapped up the rights to the gruesome RPG…and that theory is correct. Set for release in the obnoxiously ambiguous window of "Fall 2011" for the Sony PSP, Corpse Party follows a group of high schoolers trapped in a haunted elementary school, where they'll face some particularly nasty horrors. If the brutal text in the teaser is to be believed, this game has the potential to deliver the ghastly goods in spite of its anime art style.
Corpse Party will be released Fall 2011 (really, guys?) for the Sony PSP.
