My love affair with SEGA's House of the Dead: Overkill is far from a private matter (I lovingly refer to my Wii as the "House of the Dead: Overkill Machine"), having captured my heart years ago with its grindhouse flavor, fantastic soundtrack, and foul-mouthed sense of humor. If you had told me that they were re-releasing an enhanced port for the Playstation 3, using Sony's Wii-like Move motion controller, I would have been excited. However, as soon as I found out that there were two new levels, I become very excited. More details after the break.
G4 reports that the new chapter in the upcoming mouthful of a title House of the Dead: Overkill – Extended Cut, titled "Creeping Flesh" (no relation to the Peter Cushing film of the same name) sees a pair of strippers (don't ask) fighting their way through a slaughterhouse that has been infected by a sort of…meat virus? I don't quite know how to explain, but it all sounds like an excuse to get players in a slaughterhouse festooned with pulsating meat sacs. Wow, this can certainly put you off of burgers for the rest of your days.
Wait, the other new level is set in a strip club? Count me in!
House of the Dead: Overkill – Extended Cut is out October 25, 2011 for Playstation 3.
