'Aliens: Infestation' Gameplay Footage Revealed
Aliens: Infestation was already on my radar for its trinity of awesome: the Aliens license (which has done far better than most movie licenses as far as games go), the artwork of Chris Bachalo (who drew the definitive version of Neil Gaiman's Death), and the development talent of WayForward (who developed the balls-out awesome Contra 4 on the DS). However, now that Joystiq has posted the first honest-to-goodness live game footage for us to lay our peepers on, I'm absolutely ready to sink my teeth into Aliens: Infestation. Did WayForward seriously do what I think they did? Did they basically skin Metroid with Giger's iconic extraterrestrials? Not that I'm remotely complaining about this, especially given that Metroid cribbed quite a bit from Aliens in the first place, but I'm shocked that it took someone this long to make a move this obvious and awesome.
Aliens: Infestation will be released October 11, 2011 for the Nintendo DS.
