With reports of the World War Z film adaptation changing the book's beloved story (basically from a post-apocalyptic scenario to something pre-apocalyptic), director Marc Forster is addressing the concerns of fans in a new video interview. Check it out after the jump.
MTV got the interview with Forster, who's in the midst of promoting his new release Machine Gun Preacher. You can view their chat below. What it boils down to is that Forster admits changes are being made, and that those changes are necessary to tell the story he and his team want to tell. Also, his zombies are unlikely to move like Romero's zombies, which inspired Brooks... Brooks has said he's more than okay with changes being, and I'm doing the same, reserving judgement until I see the film. After all, as Cronenberg once told me -- and I'm paraphrasing here -- you have to betray a book to be faithful to it.
