We clued you in earlier this month about the upcoming mini-album & DVD Evermore Darkly from UK metal devils Cradle Of Filth, and assured you that more news would be arriving soon. We make good on our promises around here, so we've brought you a couple of new yummy morsels from the band's table that might whet your appetite for that October release: a new Evermore trailer, including scenes from the band's 2011 European tour & on-the-road documentary, and a medley of song previews from the EP. Hit the jump to watch, listen and learn!

Cradle of Filth

Described by frontman Dani Filth as a "musical stop-gap between albums" and "a pleasure treasure trove of wild and wicked wonders primed especially for fans," the new release expands on the macabre world of the band's most recent album Darkly, Darkly, Venus Aversa (check out our review here). The CD portion will include the new song "Thank Your Lucky Scars," a remix of "Forgive Me Father (I Have Sinned)" featuring Anthrax guitarist Rob Caggiano, an extended version of "Lilith Immaculate," and demos of three songs from Darkly, Darkly. It also includes a sneak preview of the band's upcoming orchestral album Midnight in the Labyrinth, with an epic rendition of Cradle classic "Summer Dying Fast."

The companion DVD, Venus Diversa, will feature the documentary You Can't Polish a Turd, But You Can Roll it in Glitter, comprised of footage shot during eight stops along the band's Summer 2011 European tours, as well as a new interview with Dani and the band's entire ten-song set at the 2011 Graspop Metal Meeting in Belgium.

Evermore Darkly will drop on October 10, and you'll be reading more about it on FEARnet soon... but in the meantime, check out the CD/DVD trailer and preview medley below!
