The popular comic series Hack/Slash has a new director attached to the big-screen adaptation - and hopefully this one will stick. The project has been in development for years, stalled due to the sale of Rogue Pictures to Relativity, and a revolving door of writers and directors. But things seem to be settling down, and a new director has taken the reins. We'll fill you in after the jump.
Marcus Nispel has signed on to direct Hack/Slash. The director's most recent project was the Conan the Barbarian remake, but he also helmed 2003's Texas Chainsaw remake, and 2009's Friday the 13th remake (I'm sensing a theme here...)
Hack/Slash is about Cassie Hack, the "last girl" of horror films who not only survives, but becomes a killer of killers. In the comics, she has had crossovers with Chucky, Wizard of Oz and Re-Animator, to name a few.
