'Alien: Age 11'
What were you doing at age 11? Watching cartoons? Playing with action figures? Teasing the girl in front of you in class? John White was preparing for a career as an illustrator. The British-born, Irish-raised artist recently started posting comic books he created as a child. First was "Star Wars: Age 9." It was a mere two years later, at the tender age of 11, that White created his "Alien: Age 11" comic. What is more fascinating is the fact that at this point, White had never actually seen Alien. Too young to see the classic sci-fi flick, his comic was based solely on a novelization of the film, with just a handful of stills, along with a parody in Cracked magazine.
