Phantastic DVD Restorations

Anchor bay, a division of STARZ media, announced their plans to restore favorite horror and cult classics, such as Don Coscarelli?s Phantasm, set for DVD release beginning in Spring 2007.

Anchor Bay Entertainment plans to offer new transfers and audio mixes, bonus materials, commentaries, interviews, collectable packaging, and limited edition discs with collectable premiums on select titles. The first release for the Anchor Bay Collection will be Stuart Gordon?s Re-Animator, the 1985 classic horror film is ready for release March 20, 2007. Along with Coscarelli?s Phantasm films, there are plans to highlight a variety of horror and cult legends including the Hammer Films Box Collection.

In launching the new specialty line, Anchor Bay aims to reach out to the horror community and bring consumers old scares with a new high quality audio and visual component.
