FEARnet Hosts Trailer for New Monster Movie Favorite
FEARnet has the latest trailer for The Host, set for release in US theaters March 9th. The Host promises state of the art special effects and terror that mirrors the monster movie greats. Making its US debut at the New York Film Festival in 2006, the film was well received and is set to be released in select theaters this spring. Set in Korea, The Host is a horror action-drama centering on Gang-du and his daughter, Hyun-seo as she is carried away by a mutant creature that suddenly emerges from the Han River. Sulking in sorrow, the family is grief stricken over their loss, but after learning his daughter may still be alive, Gang-du rallies his family to defeat the monster.
Originally titled Gwoemul, The Host?s first scene is inspired by a true story where in February 2000 a US military facility located in Seoul disposed of formaldehyde in the sewage system that lead to the Han River.
