Horror Rides Into Biggest Opening of the Year
Who set the box office on fire this weekend? None other but the latest genre/comic inspired flick, Ghost Rider. Rider scored the largest opening so far this year with a gross of $44.5 million nationwide, becoming one of the largest President?s Day weekend openings in history. Rider beat out the romantic comedies and family flicks of the weekend, opening in 4,000 theaters in the US gaining the number one spot.
