Alexandra Aja(High Tension,Wes Craven?s remake Hills Have Eyes), one of my personal favorites, is set to direct a remake of Piranha, sweet! According to IMDB the movie centers on flesh-eating piranhas that are accidentally released into a summer resort's rivers, the guests become their next meal, yummy!
From IESB.com, the original Piranha was directed by legendary master of horror Joe Dante back in 1978 and was a spoof of Spielberg?s 1975 hit, Jaws. Dimension Films is expected to release more information on the upcoming remake within the next few days and give details in regards to which direction the new film will take.
