A brutal murder and diner food that sounds like a lethal combination! I wonder what they?ll have for dessert? According to Variety, Jennifer Hudson may have found her next acting gig, playing the daughter of fellow Oscar winner Forest Whitaker in Winged Creatures.

While Hudson's reps maintained earlier this week that her participation in the film was tenuous due to the fact that she is recording her first album -- which Arista Records will release in the fall -- all parties acknowledged Wednesday that they were trying to make time for her to join the cast.
The Rowan Woods-directed adaptation of the Roy Freirich novel about survivors of a brutal murder in a restaurant also stars Kate Beckinsale, Guy Pearce, Dakota Fanning, Jackie Earle Haley, Embeth Davidtz, Jeanne Tripplehorn and Josh Hutcherson.
