Faces of Death - Remake News!
J.T. Petty is in town to support screenings of his latest film S&MAN (pronounced Sandman) and if you haven?t had the pleasure, you must seek this one out ASAP. We took a few minutes out of J.T.?s hectic schedule to chat a bit last night. Expect a full report soon. In the mean time, I wanted to share a bit of news. J.T. is currently in production on two new films. The first is entitled The Burrowers and J.T. describes it as a ?western with horror elements.? Next up is the long rumored Faces of Death remake. While J.T. can?t spill too many beans on this one, this is what he could tell us.
?It?s coming from Rogue Pictures/Universal and it?s the perfect film for examining the modern state of horror. It would be so hard to make Faces of Death as a film right now, anything you see on those tapes you can download from the internet so easily. I?m sure anything I put in this movie; 12 year olds have already downloaded it, if they?re interested in it. It?s an amazing challenge, there?s a script and it?s coming together.?
Should we expect more of a narrrative? And what of Dr. Gröss?
