Well the world is back on the Grindhouse kick again. Don?t get me wrong, I?ll be the first to admit that the film was freakin? awesome, but come on now? It flopped, get over it! Now, Broadmedia Studio has decided to acquire all Japanese rights for Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez?s Planet Terror and Death Proof, the two films originally released as Grindhouse by the Weinstein Co. The Pictures will open this fall at Toho Cinemas Roppongi Hillls. This time, we can only hope that the films do better over there.

According to variety.com, Broadmedia Studio (BMS) has acquired all Japan rights for Quentin Tarantino's Death Proof and Robert Rodriguez's Planet Terror -- the two halves of what the Weinstein Co. released as Grindhouse in the U.S. BMS will open the pics this fall at Toho Cinemas Roppongi Hills and other theaters nationwide.

A TV and movie distrib headquartered in Tokyo, BMS is a subsid of Club iT, a broadband services and media content company.
