Samurai Zombies, now that?s intense! Cannes has really out done themselves this week with a sweet line up of horror news. Next on the list is, Yoroi, an upcoming Japanese horror thriller set to be produced by Ryuhei Kitamura from Godzilla Final Wars and Shinya Kawai from the Ring. The film, picked up by Gaga Communications, ?claims? is trying a new direction in Japanese horror. Hmmmm, as much as I hate to see them go, maybe this means no more CPG (Crawling Pale Girls)! According to variety.com, ?'Yoroi,' does not involve a girl with long hair, nor a videotape, cell phone or a camera. Rather it will go to the next level," Kitamura said.
Pic, about a hostage family, robberies and samurai zombies, is the directorial debut of Isao Kiriyama, a regular screenwriter for Kitamura's own helming projects.
