As if Kirsten Dunst wasn?t annoying enough in front of the camera, Spider-man's MaryJane will be taking a role behind the camera in her directorial debut. To make matters worse, it seems that Dunst is dipping into the genre as she will be directing a short film based on a ghost story. Dunst has cited Roman Polanski as a great influence in her career and hopes to be as successful of a director as Polanski. Since hearing the news, Polanski has moved from his hideaway in France to an Isle off the shores of Japan to avoid another complete embarrassment.

American actress Kirsten Dunst has signed a deal to step behind the camera and direct her first movie. The star will make a short film based on a ghost story sent to a US women's magazine by a reader. The 25-year-old says of the project, "They've giving me carte blanche. "I pick everyone I want to collaborate with. "I've always been a fan of Roman Polanski and, you know, Repulsion with Catherine Deneuve and Rosemary's Baby. We just don't make movies like that any more."
