Unfortunately, with Hostel: Part II opening wide in theaters this past weekend, it failed to produce among the audiences, pulling in a mere $8.7 million making it sixth place, behind the box office leader Ocean?s 13. Recently, I had the pleasure of seeing Hostel: Part II at a local screening in Philadelphia. I must say, even though I was not a huge Hostel fan, Hostel: Part II is with out a doubt one of the best horror films that I have seen in a long time. The film was truly brilliant, with Eli Roth definitely out doing himself. Between the lackluster performance of Hostel: Part II this weekend and Grindhouse, it tends to make one wonder, where are all the supporting horror fans? Come on guys, these two films are what horror is supposed to be! It surprises me that films like Blades of Glory are what?s topping our box offices now a days?
