Recently, filmstalker.com posted a news story that talks about who the scariest serial killer is on film. I found this article intriguing considering that I, myself, have a fascination with trying to understand serial killers. Filmstalker.com, voted Ed Gein, Ted Bundy, Myra Hindley, Ian Hindley, and The Zodiac Killer as their scariest realistic villains, for the simple fact, that they are perceived like you and I. Personally, I find Jeffery Dahmer to be one of the most frightening serial killers of all times. My question to all the horror fans: Is it scarier to have a character like Jason Voorhees, totally fictional, yet you?re aware of the fact that he could only exist in a make-believe setting?or? Is it more terrifying to watch someone like Ed Gein? A person, who is part of reality, everyday living and isn?t portrayed as crazy or psychotic, but could potentially be behind you in line at a grocery store. With all of this said, I?m curious to see what all of you think, who is the scariest on film serial killer to you and why?
