From Within, a brand new independent thriller is now set to be directed by Phedon Papamichael, and written by the man behind After Dark?s The Gravedancers, Brad Keene. From Within, ?Set in a small, God-fearing town, focuses on a young girl caught between her Christian upbringing and a desire to experience the outside world. Her desire to break free is amplified when residents begin to die suspiciously.? Production will begin next month in Maryland.
According to variety.com, Phedon Papamichael is set to direct From Within, an independently financed thriller that will star Thomas Dekker (Heroes), Elizabeth Rice, Adam Goldberg and Jake Weber.

Pic's being financed through a European equity fund. Chris Gibbin and Adrian Butchart produce, and John Moshay and Bumble Ward are exec producers.
Papamichael was the cinematographer of such films as Walk the Line, The Pursuit of Happyness and the James Mangold-directed remake 3:10 to Yuma.
