Psycho II Director, Richard Franklin, 58
Richard Franklin, director of such suspense and horror films as Patrick, Link, and Psycho II died on July 11th in Melbourne, Australia. It was his tense, atmospheric directing in the film Patrick that led to his directing of Psycho II. Psycho II remains one of the most successful sequels to a classic horror film, and still today holds up as a solid genre film. Before his death he was working on an autobiography and teaching film classes. He will be missed by the horror community.
