Fickman to Escape to Witch Mountain
Director Andy Fickman just signed on to direct Witch Mountain, a modernized remake of the 1975 Disney film Escape to Witch Mountain. The original film involved two young orphans with supernatural powers, who were persued by an evil Millionaire with aim to exploit them. This version is being helmed as a ?re-imagining?.
Fickman?s entrance into the film is supposed to give a jumpstart to production, though no date is set. With his last directorial effort, She?s the Man and his new Disney comedy, The Game Plan, starring The Rock, it is safe to assume that this film will be geared more toward children, despite the trimmed down, faux-serious new title.
