Comic-Con Preview Night - Repo Casting News!

It was a heck of a preview night here at Comic-Con San Diego. The doors opened to the convention hall at 6pm sharp and it was nothing more than a swarming sea of nerds and I was at the center of it all. We nabbed a quick interview with Stan Winston in support of Skinwalkers at the After Dark booth (expect to see it real soon) and before we knew it, we were watching the second reel of Beowulf in 3-D with Neil Gaiman and Roger Avary sitting only a few rows in front of us. And then...the after party...

Overheard at Comic-Con this evening was some interesting casting news in Darren Lynn Bousman's Genetic Rock Opera, REPO. Look for Paul Sorvino and Paris Hilton to belt out the tunes...And the skinny on Beowulf? Really great 3-D, but in the end, computer animation is still computer animation. The characters seemed to lack depth, but the flick looks to have a really cool visual style. Expect a PG-13 rating, but according to Gaiman, an unrated version on DVD (or maybe even in theaters) may not be out of the question. You heard it here first, Beowulf hits theaters in November.
