Cast Set for ?Watchmen?

The cast for the feature film, The Watchmen, has been set and locked down. The Watchmen, based on the comic series by legend Alan Moore, had many starts and stops in production, but is now in full swing.
The film stars Jackie Earle Haley, Billy Crudup, Malin Akerman, Patrick Wilson, Matthew Goode, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Each will play one of the central characters from the series in the film, which is being directed by 300?s Zach Snyder.
The cast for this movie seems smart, reserved, and more realistic than the Cruises and Keanus that have been drooling over the parts. Wilson and Haley each have an intense screen presence, and Crudup and the rest of the cast have some real acting chops. We?ll see if even these acclaimed actors can do justice to Moore?s work, not many have. And while a lot of people really liked V for Vendetta, it?s hard to get the taste of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen out of my mouth.
