Universal studios has recently picked up the big screen rights to Daniel Silva?s spy novel series. The studio reportedly shelled out a seven figure sum to the rights of Silva?s seven novels. Some of Silva?s books include A Death in Vienna, The Kill Artist, and The Messenger which may be slated to be the first book to be adapted.
Silva?s novels deal with spy themes in distant countries. The Messenger deals with issues like terrorism, Saudi Intelligence, the CIA and a lost Van Gogh masterpiece. Sound vaguely familiar? Let?s just hope that in this one Tom Hanks isn?t crowding the screen with his weirdo haircut.
