Cradle of Filth Vocalist to Sing for Argento
Vocalist Dani Filth from British Death Rockers Cradle of Filth has worked alongside famed horror composer Claudio Simonetti to create the theme song to Dario Argento?s Mother of Tears: The Third Mother. Simonetti has recorded for such horror classics as Suspira, several episodes of Masters of Horror, and Dawn of the Dead. The collaboration immediately intrigued Dani Filth, and he was able to have full control over the vocals, both lyrically and melodically.
Mother of Tears: The Third Mother is the third in Argento?s trilogy of terror about witches that aim to take over the world. His previous two in the series, Suspira and Inferno, center on demonic witches in Rome. There is rumor that this will be Argento?s final film, and it stars a strong cast including Argento?s daughter Asia Argento and Udo Kier among others.
