Sci-Fi Channel to Kill the 'Painkiller'
The Sci-fi channel has decided to cancel the series Painkiller Jane. The series, based on a comic of the same name, was about a woman with powers of regeneration who worked with a secret government agency to hunt down supernatural villains. All of the villains had special neurological powers, and it was up to Jane to stop them.
The show starred Kristanna Loken as Jane, and is wrapping up production on its 22 episode first season. The season will still run as planned, and the series and season finale will air on September 21st.
