The next two months are absolutely STOCKED with non-stop mega-Tuesdays, so let's just dive right in and see what's on top for the first Tuesday of September...

The Amityville Horror: The Evil Escapes -- I'm pretty sure this is the fourth one. Yeah, the one with Patty Duke that was made for broadcast television! Man oh man did this series go off the rails in a hurry. Still, Part 4 is better than that one about the dollhouse. Yeesh. (Allumination)

Dog Soldiers -- Hmm. Apparently First Look is re-issuing this one. No idea if we'll get any new extras or if it's just a repackage of the old release -- but if you don't already have this flick in your collection, here's your chance. (First Look)

House on Haunted Hill -- The original one! Yes, with Vincent Price. Not the remake. Just makin' things clear. This new edition will come with (optional!) colorized version, as if that's any sort of selling point. Still, it's a fun old matinee chiller. (Legend)

The Murder Game -- A bunch of stupid teenagers break into a warehouse so they can play a new "stalker game." So guess what happens next. No, really. OK, I'll tell you: Someone starts killing everyone for real! Wow! (Lightyear)

Resident Evil & Resident Evil: Apocalypse -- Just in time for part 3 ("Extinction") comes the double-feature in "resurrected" form. Apparently there's some all-new 'branching' material that ties in with the second sequel -- as if these movies were really complicated or something. Still, if you don't already own 'em, this looks like the set to snag. (Sony)

RL Stine's The Haunting Hour: Don't Think About It -- Because if you want your kids to grow up into true-blue horror freaks, you might want to start them on the light stuff. Plus, it features Tobin Bell (Saw films) (Universal)

Wind Chill -- It got only a cursory (and very limited) theatrical release, but flicks like this always seem to find a few loyal fans on DVD. It's about a mismatched pair of travelers who get wedged into a massive snow bank on the middle of an isolated highway ... and that's only the good news. (Sony)

Unholy -- What does a young girl's suicide have to do with evil witches, freaky Nazis, and the Philadelphia Experiment? Guess you'll have to rent this one to find out. But hey, it stars Adrienne Barbeau and Nicholas Brendon, so that's a plus -- right? (Anchor Bay / Starz)

Also this week: The Brain Damage boys unleash Creature of the Night, Knight Chills, Curse of the Wolf, and Feral; Platinum decides (for some reason) to resurrect Howling 3: The Marsupials and Howling 4: The Original Nightmare; TLA visits the Playroom; First Look introduces Gacy; and the title of the week goes to Under the Bed's Werewolf in a Women's Prison.

Next week: TONS of stuff, trust me. It might be the horror week of the year!!
