This weekend?s box office reports come with some surprises, with a regularly slow post-labor day weekend showing a western in the top spot. Lionsgate?s remake of the classic 3:10 to Yuma came in first place, earning an estimated $14.1 million across the country, it cost $55 million to make. Second place for the weekend was ten day old Halloween, which took in an estimated $10 million and is holding strong in theaters, earning a total of $44.2 million so far. It?s a good week to be a genre fan.
