I had to drink two cups of coffee before starting this week's report. I tried to trim it down but there's just so much gory goodness! Grab a fork!

After Midnight -- This is one you've probably seen on cable, but you don't even remember it. It's a goofy anthology piece from 1989 that stars Marg Helgenberger and Marc "Jimmy Olsen" McClure. Trust me, you've seen it. (MGM)

American Cannibal: The Musical -- I know next to nothing about this one, but it looks more than funny enough to earn a mention. Plus it played Tribeca and earned a rave from Paper Magazine, so... (Lifesize Ent.)

The Burning -- One of the very best Friday knockoffs, jam-packed with extra splatter and featuring early work from the likes of Jason Alexander, Holly Hunter, Fisher Stevens, Brad Grey, and Harvey Weinstein. (Yes, that Brad Grey and that Harvey Weinstein.) Also featuring music by Yes-man Rick Wakeman, editing by eventual horror director Jack Sholder, gore by Tom Savini, and a pretty powerful body count. PLUS it's the UNCUT version and we're getting a bunch of flashy goodies, too! (MGM/Fox)

The Final Conflict: Omen 3 -- Are we going to get a Special Edition to go alongside the ones for The Omen and Damien: Omen 2? Maybe. But here's a better question: Considering how deadly-dull and dry this movie is ... why bother? Maybe a Sam Neill commentary track would get me to buy a copy. (Fox)

The Fly Collection -- All three of the old-school fly flicks -- The Fly, Return of the Fly, and Curse of the Fly -- in one handy package ... with extras! Not a bad deal, but Cronenberg's remake blows this entire trilogy away. (Fox)

Food of the Gods -- Surely you need to own Bert I. Gordon's infamous 'giant animals' epic. MGM/Fox is really unloading their vault today!

From Beyond -- Stuart Gordon's director's cut! Fantastic! Suffice to say if you loved Re-Animator but you couldn't track this flick down, you're in for a treat. It's all sorts of grimly gory and bizarrely disturbing. And, of course, a whole lot of fun. It's been so long since I've seen this one, it's almost like I've never seen it at all. And yes, many extra goodies will be included. (MGM)

Hood of Horror -- You've been curious. You've been patient. And once you've purchased the thing ... you've been had. Worthy of a rental? Depends on how crazy you are. (Lionsgate)

The Lost World Special Edition -- The semi-classic 1960 dino flick from Irwin Allen and the old-school 1925 version -- and a whole bunch of extras, of course. (Fox)

Manhunter -- The movie that started the whole Hannibal Lecter thing ... and it doesn't even have Anthony Hopkins in it! Do you remember who plays Dr. Lecter?? Yep, Brian Cox. Also, Michael Mann directed it, and it's a very fine film -- second only to Silence in the series. If you ask me. (MGM)

Pirates of Ghost Island -- A boat full of young party-heads. An island full of undead pirates. You know you'll rent it. (Lionsgate)

Return of the Living Dead -- The best non-Romero zombie flick out there gets a second special edition that's chock-full of dead, rotting goodness. I'm told that the old extras will be included and matched by some nifty new material, but be sure to check the reviews before you drop the cash. But since I don't own the first MGM release, my decision becomes a whole lot easier. (MGM)

Scarecrows -- A near-forgotten cult-type horror flick from 1988. I honestly can't even remember if I've seen this one, but a few of my horror cohorts assure me it's really quite good. Plus it's got cool cover art and we're promised some extra features! (MGM)

Sometimes They Come Back -- If you confuse this one for one of the sequels, then you probably think this movie sucks. Actually it doesn't. It's a nifty little Stephen King story about undead high-school punks. No word on extras features, but I wouldn't hold my breath. (MGM)

Witchfinder General -- Vincent Price as an awesomely evil "witch-killer." I wonder if this DVD will include the original cut. Probably not. See below for the full-bore Vincent Price pack!! (MGM)
