FEARnet?s web-series 30 Days of Night: Blood Trails premiered yesterday, so earlier this week we took you inside the minds of composer Jermaine Stegall and leading man, Andrew Laurich. Last week, FEARnet caught up with leading lady Dani Owen to see what she had to say about working on the bloody set with director Victor Garcia (Return to House on Haunted Hill) and her role as Jenny in the series.

What was it like working with Victor Garcia?
Working with Victor was awesome. I knew I would be in good hands when he called us (me and Andrew Laurich) to meet prior to the shoot starting. We had good conversation and discussed the script and were able to establish a nice connection on our own time before getting to set when you know everything?s going to be moving so fast. We developed a trust?a bond?which is important to the work.

Do you have a favorite memory from the set of Blood Trails?
Gosh , a favorite memory? Let?s see I think it was T.J. was standing in the middle of the room just dripping wet in fake blood and holding his fake intestines in his hands. And thinking in my head, "just another day at the office!"

You?ve stated that you had a lot of fun with the blood on set, did you also enjoy the scenes where you are able to get aggressive?
It?s funny that you use the word aggressive because to me I didn?t feel aggressive? just doing what I needed to do in order to survive and not die. But I did enjoy being physical with the role....I like doing action scenes.

It seemed sort of out of character for ?Jenny? to have such a forceful and violent nature in some of the later episodes. Was it strange for you to make the jump from sedated Jenny to violent Jenny?
Again?it didn?t feel like a jump because the violence that came out of Jenny came out of her survival instinct. It?s a fight or flight situation and she decided to fight.

Since 30 Days of Night began as a graphic novel, was adapted to film and has a mini-series prequel, how does it feel to be part of one of the most dynamic present day vampire films?
It feels really great. I think Steve Niles is a truly talented writer and I?m just so excited to be a part of it and I can?t wait to see "Blood Trails" and the feature film in October!

After starring in two series?, Prom Queen and Blood Trails, do you hope to break into theatrical projects?
I am grateful for all the work that comes my way and if more were to come to me I would be ecstatic of course.

Are you working on any new upcoming projects?
I?m working on a short film where I will play the wife of a young couple trying to adopt. The story takes place in one morning when we get the news that there?s a baby for us from a teenage mom who struggles with the decision to give up her baby but knows deep down it?s the right thing to do.

What is your biggest fear?
Dying? before I?ve had a chance to do all that I?ve wanted to do in this lifetime.
