This weekend saw some interesting films taking high spots in the box office. Leader of the charts this weekend was the newly premiering The Brave One, which starred Jodie Foster as a woman who loses her fiancé to a random beating, and then goes on to kill wrongdoers in Manhattan. The film grossed an estimated $14 Million.
Another interesting entry is the strong presence of the South Korean pic Dragon Wars (D-War). The action fantasy that features a legendary dragon battling other, more evil dragons. The film grossed $5.3 mil on its opening U.S. Weekend. Finally, Halloween is still scaring people, coming in sixth place and earning $5 mil for a cumulative gross of $51 million. Halloween?s drop from last week?s second place to this week?s sixth may have to do with the presence of The Brave One, which is a high action, high tension thriller/drama.
