Abrams Beams up Another for ?Trek?

J.J. Abrams is in the process of signing another actor on board for his new Star Trek project. Zoe Saldana (Pirates of the Carribean, The Terminal) is in talks to play the role of Uhura, who is in charge of all communications on the USS Enterprise. J.J. Abrams will direct as well as produce, and the film is going through his Paramount grounded Bad Robot prod. Company.
Though details of the film are being kept on lock down, the fact that Abrams is casting a rather young crew for his enterprise seems to confirm rumors that the film will be about the crew while they were training at Starfleet.
