Warner Bros. has already acquired the screen rights to School of Fear, a proposed series of children?s horror books. The studio bought the rights after reading an eighty-nine-page proposal by writer Gitty Daneshvari, which outlined a four-part series of novels. The novels follow the adventures of four children who go to a strange summer camp called School of Fear. In the school a mysterious headmistress challenges children to overcome their phobias and fears by using extreme, unusual methods. Now, even though a movie deal has been set up, the books haven?t even been written yet! The first book is due to hit shelves in two years, fall of 2009. So while I wouldn?t advise holding your breath for this film?s immediate release, you can sleep well knowing that some day in the distant future you can enroll in the School of Fear.
