Wolverine gets Title, Release Date & Nemesis
From VarietyTwentieth Century Fox is looking toward May 1, 2009 as the release date for the Hugh Jackman starring vehicle X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Shooting will begin later this year, with director Gavin Hood at the helm. Wolverine should feature many mutants, some new to the films and others returning from other X-Men films. Liev Shreiber is in final talks to play William Stryker, nemesis to Wolverine. The film follows Wolverine?s past, and shows his relationship with the villainous Victor Creed and the Weapon X program. This is the first time that the title has been confirmed, and if you ask me, it sounds like a straight to video release (not that we don?t love straight to video films here at FEARnet, of course).
