Casting Confirmation for ?Trek?

J.J. Abrams? Star Trek has just landed two new cast members, and the young crew of the Starship Enterprise has their doctor and captain. Karl Urban (Lord of the Rings trilogy) will play the medical officer for the starship, Leonard ?Bones? McCoy. His cantankerous character was a memorable part of the crew, and was noted for not trusting modern technology, making him butt heads with Spock. Cast in the role of Captain Kirk is actor Chris Pine, who was in talks to play a role in the film White Jazz, but had to choose between Jazz and Trek. Normally I would say he made the wise choice, traveling in space as a young Captain Kirk, but White Jazz features George Clooney?and George Clooney rules.
