Prequel Arrives from ?Underworld?
From Hollywood ReporterWith the success of their two Underworld films emboldening them, Sony?s Screen Gems and Lakeshore Entertainment are working on a third film in the series. The official title is Underworld 3: The Rise of the Lycans. Set in the dark ages, this prequel will follow the origins of bloodlines between vampires and their werewolf slaves. The film will supposedly shift the perspective of the franchise from vampires to werewolves. Michael Sheen will return as the Lycan master, and Bill Nighy will return as the vampire leader Viktor. Creature Effects artist Patrick Tatopoulos, who worked on both Underworld films, will make his feature directing debut. This movie could work on a lot of levels, but time periods are funny things. They?re a bit like sharks?jumping them ain?t always such a good idea.
