Vanderbilt to Weave New Web for ?Spider-Man?

Screenwriter James Vanderbilt (Zodiac) has been brought on to script the screenplay for Spider-Man 4 for Columbia pictures. Laura Ziskin returns as producer, but no deals have, as of yet, been struck to bring back director Sam Raimi or leads Kirsten Dunst and Tobey Maguire. While the plot of the newest installment is being kept in super lockdown, we know that there will only be two villains in this one. Also, Vanderbilt was chosen because of his affinity for character-driven stories, as opposed to the special effects that some feel drowned such stories straight out of Spider-Man 3.
