Romero Iffy on ?Diary 2?
IGN reported, after speaking with George Romero (Night of the Living Dead), that Romero has yet to make any solid plans to shoot a sequel to his newest zombie offering, Diary of the Dead (which consequently, is still awaiting a release). The trades had already reported not only that Romero would be shooting the sequel, but also that a synopsis was in the works, involving the survivors of the first film traveling to a deserted island for safety. IGN reports Romero as saying:
"I'm not sure where that came from," ?"I wouldn't mind continuing the discussion, but nothing is decided yet. Euphoria seems to have set in even though the film has only screened about six times.
"The only way I can see it being worthwhile is if we use the same characters, which would be the first time I have done that. I don't have an idea yet, but if the idea and the money can meet somewhere in the middle, it's possible."
