This year at the American Film Market, horror films held a strong presence. Though always popular at AFM, this year saw a large range of films in the genre, from high brow to low, A to B, and everything in between. Included was Eden Lake, a film by James Watkins (My Little Eye) about a couple who try to have a romantic weekend in the country, but are attacked by a gang of kids. Also shown at the Market was Stuart Gordon?s (ReAnimator) Stuck, a film based on the true story of a woman who hit a man with her car only to leave him in her garage for days to bleed to death. The film stars Mena Suvari and Stephen Rea, and a domestic deal for the release of the film is being worked out with Image Entertainment.
