Three get ?Quarantined?

Jay Hernandez (Hostel), Jennifer Carpenter (The Exorcism of Emily Rose) and Columbus Short (Stomp the Yard) have all signed on to star in Quarantined, a remake of the Spanish horror flick, Rec. Quarantined is set in a Los Angeles building where a deadly and dangerous strain of rabies has broken out. The story centers around the people trapped inside (a reporter and her camera man, hence the original Rec title) as the building is quarantined. Now bear in mind, ghoulies, Rec has only really been making laps in the festival circuit. It opens on November 23rd, in its home country! Let me see if I?ve got this straight?we?re talking about a film getting greenlit that?s based on a film that hasn?t been released? Who says people are afraid to take chances in Hollywood?
